Trumpet #7. The “Sketches” by Robert E. Howard all appeared in “The Junto”, the single-copy circulating magazine produced by Howard and his friends.

Thomas Earl Reamy, born in Woodson, Texas during the Great Depression, immersed himself in the world of science fiction fandom as a teenager in the early 1950s. His passion for fanzines and conventions saw him emerge as both a fan writer and artist. In the 1960s, while employed as a technical illustrator at Collins Radio’s Dallas branch, an aerospace contractor, Reamy elevated his involvement in fandom. He edited and published Trumpet, a fanzine distinguished by its professional printing and slick production, at a time when most fanzines were produced using more economical ditto or mimeograph methods.
