The Adventures of Breckinridge Elkins Volume 1: Ultimate Edition
This volume collects the riotous, over-the-top adventures of Breckinridge Elkins of Bear Creek—Howard’s unique brand of humorous Western fiction. Presented in restored, corrected form, the book includes the original stories as well as drafts, synopses, and unfinished fragments. With an introduction by Mark Finn and cover art by Mark Wheatley, this updated 424-page edition supersedes the original print run and is no longer limited in quantity. Edited by Rob Roehm and Paul Herman.

All of the Howard stories contained in The Adventures of Breckinridge Elkins, Volume 1, come from Howard’s original typescripts, except “The Apache Mountain War” and “Sharp’s Gun Serenade”.
