I hope Abilene can be a time-out from the huge towns. We’re staying 3 nights here and I guess we will use this as a base for going to Brownwood and perhaps even visit the museum in Cross Plains as it’s only about 50 minutes from Abilene. Brownwood takes about 1 hour 20 minutes to drive to.
