The Dead Remember was submitted to Argosy in 1936 and sold to Munsey by Otto Binder for $17.50. Two drafts are known. They differ chiefly in character names and descriptive details; one notable difference is that the earlier draft lacks the description of Jezebel’s dress found in the later version.
