The People of the Black Circle is a Conan novella first serialized in Weird Tales across the September, October and November 1934 issues. Howard received $250 for the story.

Set largely in Vendhya, the story follows Conan’s abduction of the Devi Yasmina and his conflict with the Black Seers of Yimsha, combining political intrigue, sorcery and large-scale adventure.
