The Hour of the Dragon is Howard’s Conan novel, first published as a serial in Weird Tales from December 1935 through April 1936. Gnome Press issued the first book edition in 1950 under the title Conan the Conqueror. That title remained common until Berkley/Putnam restored The Hour of the Dragon in 1977 and returned to the text of the original Weird Tales serialization rather than later edited forms.
