The Extermination of Yellow Donory, written in the early spring of 1929, survives in two distinct drafts. The earlier draft is titled The Killing of Yellow Donory; the later carbon copy follows the same basic story but adds further detail. The Extermination of Yellow Donory was first published in Zane Grey Western Magazine in June 1970.
