Introduction

Red Shadows is a collection of Fantasy short stories and poems by Robert E. Howard. It was first published in 1968 by Donald M. Grant, Publisher, Inc. in an edition of 896 copies. The stories and poems feature Howard's character, Solomon Kane. Many of the stories first appeared in the magazine Weird Tales.

Includes 4 full-page color plates by Jones on unnumbered pages.
Page numbers for artwork are for the facing pages. The plates are opposite pages other than those indicated by the TOC.
Stated first edition limited to 896 copies per Currey.

There was a second printing of the first edition in 1971.
The first printing was bound in red. The second printing was bound in grey. Four full page color illustrations.
The color illustrations were not in the correct order in the first printing. This was corrected in the second printing.
