Draft 4 — surviving Howard typescript set with Glenn Lord duplicate pagesHoward typescript
Extent19 pagesCompletenessComplete

Physical extent: Complete 19-page draft documentary set; pages 8 and 18 are duplicate copies created by Glenn Lord

TSS: 51962–51966, 51967–51977, 64290–64291, 92068

Untitled complete typescript represented by a 19-page documentary set. First Cuts explicitly identifies the surviving copies of pages 8 and 18 as duplicates created by Glenn Lord rather than Howard-authored additional revisions.

Additional documentary notes

  • Duplicated page: First Cuts states that the surviving copies of pages 8 and 18 were created by Glenn Lord. They are documentary substitutes/copies, not Howard-authored revision leaves. (Draft 4 pages 8 and 18)
  • Erasure: The words “like she done” were erased/smudged out and the punctuation was placed after “head.” (First Cuts p. 248)
