Another thing that made me decide to go on with it was that I came across the Ray Walters article in the New York Times, April 30, 1978. He, too, spoke of Bob’s gun and his enemies. As I told you, I knew about the gun, and I sincerely think that on that particular instance Bob was better than those who see in it some dark and dreary thing.
