Published as an advertisement for the Keegan's work in Dark Horse Comics Conan and for their illustrations in Del Rey's The Best of Robert E. Howard, Volumes 1 and 2.

The finished illustrations appear in Del Rey's THE BEST OF ROBERT E. HOWARD Volume 1: CRIMSON SHADOWS and Volume 2: GRIM LANDS.
