REH Publications is a searchable, locally maintained catalogue of publications by, containing, adapting, or concerning Robert E. Howard. It combines the preserved Howard Works bibliography with reviewed REH World corrections, additions, images, downloads and editorial notes.

From Howard Works

Howard Works grew from Paul Herman’s Robert E. Howard story lists and the book-content pages created by Todd A. Woods and Bill Thom. Todd’s aim was to put in one place the publication information he had wished existed when he began collecting Howard, while the larger bibliography was designed to help scholars and collectors locate every story, article, poem, fragment and synopsis without judging the material itself.

The original website was created by Todd Woods. In 2005 it moved to a new server with Bill Thom as administrator, and it continued to expand through corrections, new data and cover scans supplied by a large international group of contributors.

The REH World catalogue

This catalogue preserves the imported Howard Works records as a source layer, then adds a separate REH World editorial layer. Corrections do not silently rewrite the historical source data. Local publications, classifications, multiple images, magazine downloads, publisher aliases, exclusions and other decisions remain traceable and can be revised later.

The public interface was created to make the bibliography easier to search, browse and maintain while retaining the depth and provenance of the work on which it is based.

Source history and acknowledgments

The catalogue remains a work in progress. Errors can be corrected and missing publications can be added without losing the preserved source evidence.
