Scope

This policy describes the Google Play edition of REH World Library, package world.reh.library. The direct APK edition available from reh.world has a different app-update mechanism, described below.

What stays on your device

No app account is required. Searches, favourites, saved searches and preferences are stored locally and are not uploaded by the app. The app does not include advertising, analytics, advertising identifiers or crash-reporting SDKs. It does not request access to contacts, location, camera or microphone.

Internet connections

The app downloads public catalogue updates from reh.world over HTTPS. It checks for changes on launch or return to the app, at most once an hour, when automatic updates are enabled. Automatic catalogue updates can be disabled in About; manual refresh remains available.

Cover images may be requested from reh.world or howardworks.com and cached temporarily on your device. These services necessarily receive network information such as your IP address, the requested resource and request headers. Hosting and security services may process or retain normal server logs under their own policies. The app does not send your search terms, favourites or saved searches with these requests.

External source links and documents open in your browser or another appropriate app. Those services apply their own privacy policies. Website cookies are governed by the website and your browser settings.

Google Play purchases and app updates

Google Play handles purchases, installation and app updates under Google’s policies. The app does not receive your payment-card or bank details. The Google Play edition does not include Firebase Cloud Messaging and does not register a Firebase installation for update notifications.

Direct APK edition

The edition downloaded directly from reh.world uses Firebase Cloud Messaging for app-update notifications. Firebase processes an installation identifier and related technical information needed to deliver these notifications. Searches, favourites and saved searches are not sent to Firebase. Direct APK update checks contact reh-library.web.app; APK downloads are hosted on reh.world.

Deleting local data

Saved searches can be cleared in About. Individual favourites can be removed in the app. Clear the app’s storage in Android settings or uninstall it to remove its local data. Local collections are not backed up by the app.

Retention and privacy requests

Local library data remains on your device until you remove it. Temporary image files may be removed by the app or Android. We do not receive a copy of your searches or personal collection and cannot recover or delete those local records remotely.

Network and security records under our control are used to operate and protect the service, not to build advertising profiles. Contact us to ask about access to or deletion of identifiable records we control. Records may need to be retained for security or legal obligations. Independent services, including Google Play and external image hosts, manage their own retention and deletion processes.
