“Heroes of Bear Creek” is an omnibus published by Ace in 1983 and contains text from the Donald M. Grant editions of “A Gent from Bear Creek“, “The Pride of Bear Creek” and “Mayhem on Bear Creek“.

“A Gent from Bear Creek” is both the title of a story and a novel. It is a kind of fix-up novel of 13 related stories, all but three were first published in Action Stories from March 1934 to August 1935. The stories were slightly revised by Howard, and are presented as chapters of the novel, retaining their original titles.
